Vetter, a globally-operating Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO), has released its second annual sustainability report. The report includes Scope 3 emissions for the first time and shows Vetter's CO2 balance according to the international Greenhouse Gas Protocol requirements. The company aims to reduce total emissions globally by ten percent by 2029 compared to the base year of 2019. Vetter is also focusing on employee-driven social responsibility as a driving force for sustainability activities, with a goal of reducing total emissions in relation to gross value added by ten percent by 2029.
The CDMO has been a sustainability pioneer in the pharmaceutical industry since 2014, using 100 percent green electricity and advancing renewable energy expansion and conversion at individual sites. In addition, Vetter offers comprehensive health management with target-group-oriented offers for employees in different life situations and promotes high-value training and development opportunities. The company secured first place in the Social Impact on Employees category of the 2022 Sustainable Impact Award.
